Create the city
The Curious Cities Assembly brings together voices from public health, transport, planning, research and advocacy to make cities safer, healthier and more liveable. Taking place during London Climate Action Week, the event centres around play, asking attendees to imagine the city from a child’s perspective.

The pavement is a playground
Imagine what a city could look like if it was built for play. Not just swings and roundabouts, but spaces for curiosity, intrigue, art, expression and conversation. We created the brand identity, name and messaging in the spirit of child-like curiosity.
At the core of the brand is the idea of the pavement as a playground, with a library of colourful, hand-cut paper shapes, conjuring a vibrant space that can be interacted with and rearranged by its participants.
Reshape the streets
During a week of disconcerting predictions and scary statistics, the Curious Cities Assembly was a much needed injection of playfulness and pragmatism. The look and feel was a massive hit with attendees, with t-shirts, notebooks and posters flying off the merch table.
This identity helped the event have a massive impact, creating a space in which policymakers, urban planners and environmental advocates could feel comfortable and energised to make real changes to the way our cities are designed.
